Ah, Japan: where your dreams of creating that one useless and barely entertaining technological marvel may come true. Take this new Tuttuki Bako game from Bandai, for example (via Technabob). Essentially, it’s a box with an LCD screen and a hole on the side for you to put your finger in. The screen then displays your finger in pixelated form along with other objects — like a stick man or a panda clutching a ball — for you to virtually poke and prod. Okay, so it’s not exactly a “game” per se — more like a digital version of a bug caught in a jar. There may not be any objectives for this little device, but it still certainly seems like some sort of abandoned peripheral for the old-school Game Boy. I think we can all imagine where this concept might go from here, though. Shudder.
